In September 2023, SABIC collaborated with three specialized companies—Dubai-based film supplier Taghleef Industries Group, Greek printing expert Stephanos Karydakis IML SA, and injection molder Kotronis Packaging—to develop a single-step IML technology enabling seamless component decoration within the injection mold. This collaboration will demonstrate the application of certified renewable polypropylene (PP) resin in high-quality, single-layer PP thin-wall container packaging. The single-step IML technology achieves seamless component decoration inside the injection mold, with the label becoming an integral part of the packaging itself.
